In terms of a game, I have to say this is not very good. The game in itself is just references stitched together with graphics that somehow look worse than the games it took from. The player has a tendency to walk too far in a direction, get "stuck" to objects, the inventory is almost useless, the rock with a soul is totally confusing because it's in the open environment with 100s of other rocks (unlike the tree), the music is a very annoying loop of very few notes, and the fact that text is required to tell the player how they should feel about the game because the game play itself is lacking is just ridiculous. Also, that "Easter egg" is probably the most complicated thing in the universe. I don't know who would think to do those 3 things 5 times each because they're totally unrelated. It would make more sense for a player to play the game and realize the blue key doesn't get used, then use it on a secret lock in the picture. If it weren't for the second game in the series being good enough to merit adding a Newgrounds badge, I never would've tried so hard with this or even noticed it in the first place.
