Reviews for "Dungeon Legends"

The UI looks decent and it is an at least functional dungeon crawler, but I'm not seeing where the real fun or strategy is. Click arrow keys to randomly move you forward to find stuff, is it a bag? press button to pick it up, is it a monster? click one button until it dies or you lose, repeat. The gameplay has no variety, there is no music, no animations, its like watching a slideshow, and adding a few items to the list of items the game can generate will not change that.

I'm glad to see that this game is getting continual support and undergoing constant revision, growing and changing all the time, overall though I think it needs to grow and change in some huge ways before reaching the level of something engaging.

I like the minimalistic graphics and sounds, but it's still buggy and the gameplay mechanics aren't very good.

1) There's no way to escape from an enemy. This - coupled with the fact that player attacks and enemy attacks occur simultaneously - makes the game predominantly about luck. You should really add an option to flee, but have it incur a penalty as well (like the high probability of HP damage, loss of gold, or loss of a random item).

2) The player's maximum HP doesn't increase as s/he levels up, and it should. Also, Healing Potions are waaaaaay too costly for the lousy +2HP they give. Right now it's more cost efficient to just use Monster Killers as much as possible and then fall back to attacking when you run out.

3) Why would anyone leave the first dungeon floor if all the enemies give 2 EXP regardless of how much HP they have or how much damage they do? A slime on the first floor has 5 HP, 1 ATK, and gives 2 EXP; red knight on the third floor has 20 HP, 2 ATK, and gives 2 EXP.

4) The game is still very buggy. The only quest that I got to work was "Collect 5 items". The first time I went down a ladder, the game screen went all black and I had to refresh the page. You can amass an infinite amount of gold at any shop because of a bug that allows weapon duping. Click where your equipped weapon box would be, and then sell the duped weapon in your inventory. Repeat as necessary.

Well... I don't know but for me it works perfectly.
Try to update your Flash Player if you have Problems :)

"Fixed all the bugs" Money glitch still ingame, and the game is way too hard. Surviving is purely based on if you find a loot sack cause if the game decides to be a jerk and give you a few monsters in a row and you dont have a full inventory of health potions your dead. They are way too expensive

TheeCoffee responds:

For me. The money glitch is gone.

no strategy, gold is useless because you can free items, too easy because a lvl 6 sword start etc.
sry for bad english

TheeCoffee responds:

oh right

So, what is the point of selling items if you cant buy potions? It dosent count my slime kills as someone already said. hard to tell if have to compelate objective to go to next dungeon or if need to find a ladder. if you click to the side away from an item bag, but then back, it isnt still there. overall, hard for me to give this game a good rating....
