Reviews for "Motorjoust"

I suppose it was okay. There wasn't much explanation for the bars and whether or not you had enough to beat the enemy, but I eventually figured it out. I don't really understand the ending though. Did the knight turn into a woman? And what was that enemy at the end? It didn't look like he was riding a bike. Was it a robot?

WingDemon responds:

The bars were explained in the Help page, alot of people have been skipping it however.

Well the ending is a reference to the original Metroid ending where Samus is revealed to be a girl. Yes our main character was a lesbian under the armor and her and the princess rode out into the sunset together.

The last opponent was Bones, he was essentially a skeleton hiding inside a large set of magical armor that for all intents and purposes was attached to the bike (which is why only his skeleton flew away after you beat him)

Thanks for playing and congratulations on beating it!

So, the game "Motorjoust" only features jousting in cutscenes. The reality is that it's a sluggish Excitebike. Sluggish in controls, mainly in lane switching. What perplexes me is that some levels seem to have been created with the idea that the player can switch lanes faster than is actually possible.
I just didn't enjoy this game at all. It's a poor Excitebike based around collecting items. It's a miserable experience, even when winning. The only reward for completing a level is another level.

WingDemon responds:

Thanks for your opinion man. A lost of those points could've been fixed with more time, like level design; we had two days or so to develop the levels and lets face it, we're a group of artists, not level designers. Yes they could've been better, but under the circumstances i think they were pretty well done. Try using the level editor to make a level YOU thought would be good for the game and see how hard it is. ;)

couldnt really get the hang of the controls but it seemed like a cool idea

WingDemon responds:

Well we've realized its not for everyone's tastes, but thanks for trying it man!

The only reason Excitebike! worked was because the balance was responsive. In this game, the balance is so slow that it feels like it takes the player's skill out of the game.

Good idea, but it needs a little bit of polishing.

WingDemon responds:

we had about half an hour to polish so im pretty sure we polished it as much as we could ;) Thanks for playing!

I had such high hopes for this! Amazing graphics, nice music , hilarious premise but it's just not fun. There should be some power ups or something for me to feel like i'm getting more bad ass. :(

WingDemon responds:

Thanks for playing man, sorry you didn't like it :( Hopefully next time you'll have a better experience with one of my/ our games!
