Reviews for "The Swell Endeavor"

I so did_not liked this two crappy dudes. In the end I thought, great at least he killed them!
But no.
Wish they were eaten by cannibals in the end or something like that.
Good work tho.

jabzinaut responds:

You Russians know how to party! Thanks for the view!

Good work, perhaps to improve you should make something longer or with some sound effects and voices. I don't know what the intentions are, people have very contrasting ideas about sounds when it comes to animations. Like the art style and very well made frame animation.

jabzinaut responds:

Very much appreciated! I was itching to make it longer, but couldnt cram all my ideas in time with the deadline creeping closer, next one though for sure! I love working with sound effects usually and voices, but I really wanted Step's track to carry the cartoon

its cool but short as hell like I seriously texted my girlfriend then looked back and it was over ._. maan

jabzinaut responds:

Thanks! Yeah like I mentioned I'm bummed that I couldnt include more since I had so many ideas after being inspired by Step's track, but definitely expect more in the next chapter!

Awesome movie man! Animation reminds me of some of the cartoons i know, also i liked the indian jones reference.

jabzinaut responds:

Thanks, man, I'm definitely inspired by way too many cartoons (especially 90s), and I'm really glad you caught that! It was getting down to the wire with the deadline but, no joke, I didn't want to turn it in without having that short Indy reference in there

Superb work man!
One of my favourites of this round, and also one of the most fitting interpretation of Step's track.
I think one of the greatest things here is how you use 'animation smears' between movements, it makes everything really flexible and fluent.
Since it's a review, a little feedback I can think of (pretty small, actually) is that some objects (like the pillars of light, those with a gradient) look a little "bland" (/not too 'deadly') in comparison with the rest of the objects in the animation, maybe they aren't as sharp/contrasted as they could be to look more integrated.
Hope you can keep working on these two guys!

jabzinaut responds:

Really appreciate that, ButzboPrud!
I seriously loved working with Step's tune, it inspired so much and wish I couldve included all of the ideas before the deadline, definitely want to continue the storyline.
I honestly thought my backgrounds suffered a little too, I'll admit that towards the end I really wanted to finish this especially with the deadline creeping closer and didn't do much with those.
Thanks for the feedback, and I for sure will!
