Won't let me progress to a second stage.
I keep killing all the enemies in the first level, but it won't let me go to the next forest part.
Is that a bug?

Nope, as you pass over the other levels they state you need to purchase the armor upgrades. From which point you gain new combos, dmg and armor. They also can be switched with 1 - 4 number keys.
I like the fluidity and concept (though it may not be original), but the attacking is just horrible, there's no unit collision, and the hit box for the sword is terrible, so I run right up to an enemy and my attacks don't work. I have to tap back and forth to get into the small hitting range and after that, I knocked them back with my combo, re-position...etc. Why does the screen flash when I combo? It makes me think I got it. All in all, this game is really annoying to play and I can find plenty better ones.
