Reviews for "Misadventure"

retro gaming at a new level. I love it!

Holy crap this is awesome! It's like Atari 2600 meets SCP. I'm sure Warren Robinett would salute you.

Excellent! Very Lovecraftian which I assume is on purpose. I just bought a book of all his stories and this is totally on the level in terms of creepiness and the feeling of desperation and not quite understanding what's happening or why. There were so many subtle little things that were so coo, especially the closer you got to loosing and even with minimal detail in the pixels the movement and stuff made the creepiness perfectly obvious.

Man, this game is hard. Devilishly hard. Love it. Your pixelated creatures are much scarier than many monsters from other games, both on this site and in the "mainstream" videogame media. What else? Great job!
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

This game is a lot of trial and error, but is done in a way where you learn when you fail (eventually). There are some issues, where if you kill something with your sword, you "move" and move through a wall, resulting in getting stuck. I had this issue when killing a "zombie" which was inside a wall which opened up with a switch, but when I killed the zombie, I moved through the wall and became stuck, requiring me to restart the game. In another instance, when I killed the green flying tentacle thing that kills you when the doors on the entrances shut, I "moved" through the wall as well, but thankfully, there is a small gap on the side you can move around to return to the area you are supposed to be.
