Reviews for "Geneva Convection"

The graphics and the idea of the game are great but i don't know what to do. i turn those valves and nothing is happening.

This game is way too good, I mean you get to blow up the whole world with a Death Ray! It had a Funny and appropriate ending. If this had been my game, I would have used the Death Ray to carve my name and score into the moon.

For anyone who is still having trouble with this game, here is a bit of advice:

1. Don't let the Command Center go blue if you're capacitor is nearly full. The point being that you can fix a broken capacitor, but not if it is fully charged. If your Command Center is down, you can't discharge your Death Ray which causes the capacitor to die.

2. You want the game to play at a Medium-Fast pace. Upgrading power makes the capacitor charge faster, upgrading the capacity makes it charge slower. If it's too slow, you're bored. If it's too fast, you can't devote any time to maintenance and upgrades.

3. The object of this game is to Blow everything up except yourself. I would suggest you shut down or blow up a couple of rooms that don't help you towards this goal.

It's been said many times. The game doesn't work.

E for effort though.

Don't expect the people who play your game to understand what you're trying to do from the get go. It is also a great thing to ask someone to play this game without telling them what to do if you just can't tune your mindset to as if you're not the 1 creating this game.

This game looks fun, the concept looks cool, I was so apologetic that I kept replaying it for many many times. But then I can see it won't work. First of, if you want to bother including the tutorial in there, keep it simple, introducing them 1 by 1 at a time, make sure the bubble didn't disappear too fast. It was too fast for me, took a long while of replays to understand what the guy was trying to say, teaching everything in the description doesn't help all that much either.

I know you have a limited time, that's why you shouldn't do something too big than the given time, because the result is disastrous. You said the theme was minimalism, there's nothing about minimalism here either, it's really hectic & overwhelming.

How about you re-upload this on Newgrounds as a finished product? I'm sure you can win a first place. Or at least, top 5.

Here's a simple tip for someone who might want to know before start playing.

If the room in the middle of the volcano is gone, you're dead, don't even bother fixing anything, you're dead.

Way to much going on at once. I'm trying to figure out what each of the rooms do and what the valves do and read what the guy is saying and trying to figure out what exactly the upgrades do and where money comes from and while all this is going on, rooms just start exploding and there isn't a thing I can do about it.

Either it needs a long tutorial, elements removed or levels where content is slowly introduced.
