Considering what the Chief is practically the avatar of death and destruction to these guys I think they acted quite reasonably.
why wouldn't they take chief's helmet and armor as trophy, and then continue destroying him until he's nothing but ashes.
Ahah so true! and The Elite are like: "AHAHAHAHA" near to your corpse, firing at you again and again.
