Reviews for "Blue Balloons"

cliche meaning. sorry.

only thing wrong with that. and man, i feel like an asshole saying that. but it is cliche, the whole consuming loneliness thing. just being honest here. but too make up for that , i think the artwork here is incfredible. the girl is fuckin awesome, i lie how shes drawn with an imperfect typeish body, i dont know if i descrribed that rright or whatever. the balloons faces are great, i like how they get fiercer as hey grow. the border is cool, and even though the whole loneleniss thing is cliche, it was beautifully done. the swings makes u think that shes sitting alone, and she has a balloon with a sad face on it. oh and i LOVE how the baloon goes from a simple 3d angry faice to a biological form,. again, dont know if i said that right, but like the wa the last balloon form has a tounge and gums and teeth and the earlier forms were just detailed smiley faces. so great job, cliche is all. but as far as cliche art goes, this is the best ive ever seen.

I cannot begin to describe how beautifully done the girl is. ok, thats all.

You have officially been diddled.

thanks for the wonderful review. Yeah, the meaning is pretty cliche, we were assigned quotes in class and made to draw something that represented the quote we were assigned, and mine was some cliche loneliness quote.
It was fun to do, though!

absolutely...!

I absolutely love this. Reading through the reviews, the meaning might be cliche but your unique interpretation using monster balloons is absolutely original. After one glance, this unique piece would be forever a classic, which isn't hard for me to imagine at some well known independent art festival. I absolutely can't really find anything flawed that i don't like in your composition.

Please do a series with the same unique style. Your color palette in this piece is absolutely the best and I would love to see if there are other color combinations that adds to the different feel of other various pieces you might do in the future. Heck, I'd want to buy posters of your works so i would start thinking of making some money after this absolute success if i were you.

ghlow responds:

wow, thanks! truly inspiring words <3

Very Nice :)

the last face reminds me of Beetlejuice when he turn into a snake :P

Awesome!

It shows preety well the loneliness and problems in a girl's puberty (i think)

wonderfull one issue tho

I really can't say anything that hasn't been said. Though the complaints i'm seeing i don't agree with. My only issue is that the on right before the final form looks gentle, it seems sort of sad and caring. It's not that big a deal but it sorta messes up the metamorphosis. It's like the monster's having second thoughts before it decides to devour this girl, and it messes the feel of the image up. The fact that the one right before the feast is behind its previous and final forms makes it seem less threatening and hungry too. The fact that some of the others are behind each other even though they are the advanced form, to me, shows a sense of writhing and sudden growth in the earlier forms so it doesn't stagger the picture like the other one does.

That's all, hate to even tell you you screwed up a bit, but you did. It shouldn't take much to fix tho'; that is if it was done digitally.

ghlow responds:

now that you mention it, he does look sad.
the angry part of his eyebrow was covered up by the other one!
I'll fix it when i get a chance, thanks.
