Reviews for "Free Rider 3"

Distinct lack in different vehicles. You can only choose between the two bikes, whereas in FR2, you could choose a truck, or a helicopter, even a unicycle. But this just has the two bikes. Also the controls seem to be a bit more sensitive, if you press back you go flying backwards, makes it difficult to stabilize the bike. As well as the hit detection on the bike rider. In FR2 you could get away with rolling off your back in a flip, in this, if you so much as look at the ground the guy falls off the bike. 2.5 stars, good game, but seeing as it is still in its early stages it can always be improved upon.

kanogames responds:

What bike were you having issues with BMX or MTB? The BMX is traditionally less stable. We left the physics / controls 100% the same for FR3 as they were in FR2.

FR3 allows for locking of vehicles to tracks, this is done to allow track creators to design tracks for the physics of the vehicles and to increase competition, if we didn't do that people would just pick the easiest vehicle for example the air balloon or truck have very different physics than the MTB.

We also removed the other vehicles due to +95% of the tracks created are for BMX / MTB, if there is high enough demand we will consider adding more into the editor.

We are working on checkpoints as we speak so hopefully we will have some good news on that front shortly.

i love free rider but this is no differnt than 2...more ads.....soooo yea

kanogames responds:

Here are some of the changes over FR2:

- larger playing area
- improved performance
- best time replay per track to challenge friends
- player saved replays
- official FR3 track database
- added functionality to editor

And most important change, a full active dev team behind the game!

Not all the functionality could be added to the distributable version unfortunately.

i think u got some bugs guy, guy keeps falling off for no reason into oblivion

kanogames responds:

Hmmm could you give us some more details? Does the track not show up or does the rider just bail at certain sections of the track?

Pretty much this game is another version of Canvas Rider, but with added details to it.In my opinion I think that this game does not match up to Canvas Rider.I mean,I'v rode all the tracks on it from the original...

kanogames responds:

As you may not be aware, the game you mentioned was an unlicensed version of Free Rider 2 built as an experiment where code was taken from FR2 Flash Version, that site has since been updated appropriately with the release of FR3.

There are 10 featured tracks that anyone can play with this version.
Pressing more tracks or create a track takes you to the creators site.
The other versions had built in editors this one doesn't.

so all in all it's not much of a game really, more of an advergame to get people to visit the creators site.

kanogames responds:

Thanks for the feedback Uglygit!

We added the track editor into the game earlier this week based on players feedback like yours! To upload a track it will still take you to Kano Games.

We are currently working on getting checkpoints into the game so that when players die they don't have to start all the way from the beginning of the track.

Unfortunately there is a limitation to the features that require authentication that we can provide in just the flash version of the game versus the experience that is provided on Kano Games.
