Reviews for "Star Dust I"

This is a great game but I wish there was a bit more to it. if you make another star dust i think that you should be able to send mining teams on to asteroid and a little more to the combat system. that's what I think. The game is great how it is now but if you added them into the game or if you make a another one this series would be the best flash game series I have ever played.

Great game, but you need to fix a couple of things, like the monotony of the game and inability to get certain ores without buying them to get an upgrade (like the xylonium needed for the tier 3 radar). Different missions would be very nice. Oh, and if you're listening to suggestions, think about making a base relations thing, and maybe choose which alliance you join, if any. Looking forward to the next one. :)

Excellent game! One of the best I've seen in Flash, and I've played hundreds.

I have a few serious complaints, though:

First, for some reason, I keep dying at a specific point (seems to be 23-10-2050). The ending message says it was due to starvation, but there was NO indicator in the reports beforehand that anything was wrong with the base, and it happens even if I have 90+ days of water, 40+ days of oxygen, 20+ days of fuel, and all base systems online. If I load the autosave for that day, clicking on 'reports' sends me straight to the ending message. I verified that the catastrophe happened on a single day with no warning, by going to the nearby asteroid cluster (which I can reach in 1 day) repeatedly and checking the reports every day.

Second, at one point I was attacked by pirates who stole every single piece of cargo and money, and the following day, it said that I had negative oxygen, water and fuel. Obviously there was no way to recover and I had to reload, but it seems kind of silly to have negative of anything.

I've give 4.5 if the glitches were fixed, and possibly 5 if the UI elements were improved (I'm mostly thinking of combat hitboxes and the market interface; a 'sell all' button for each commodity would be nice).

I had to play this game through before reviewing, I was that impressed, man...Hell, I don't even care if it's glitchy and slow at some points, this MASTERPIECE, this piece of interactive ART deserves to be downloadable on a console. If you could work out how to do it, maybe improve on it beforehand, then DO IT...The story just captivated me, even if the narrator/main character's voice was a bit lame. Sorry if you voiced him, but I'm just being honest.
I'd love to know, what do you have in mind for the next game? Surface mining of a new home planet and space mining in the galaxy around it? Researching terraforming technology half way through the trip to MAKE a planet inhabitable? There's multiple outcomes, and I'm anxious to see where you go with this.

If this ever gets a game system remake, or if the future parts get improved beyond this, I think it needs more voices, and I'd love to be a part of it if you'd have me...Well, and if you decide to do it. I'm hopefully getting a better mic than the one I have now in the next few weeks. I'll be able to start looking for a start in voice acting again.

I like this game, the idea of building something out in space is intriguing, and the amount of ways which you can expand are staggering. The interface is detailed yet simple, with charts and statistics and plenty of options. There isn't just one way to proceed, and the upgrades really add to the variety. The save feature is nice, as is the guide, and the game itself is on a different level than just the interface. It's both a strategical and action-based game, and the combination works well. Nice job!
