Reviews for "A Bit of Fun"

This game could be considered "not bad" if it weren't for the terrible hit boxes.

The player will be hard pressed to understand why he is dying, other than that "I guess the hit boxes are larger than they look like they should be"

i am sick and fucking tired of platformers.

I've only been able to get up to the eight level. The long jump has taken me at least 170 attempts to beat, all of which have resulted in my character missing the ledge by such a small amount after jumping as late as I can. Even when I try the ball, it's so impossible to control that I still fail -- I can't even make it to the platform.

If it wasn't for that level, I would absolutely love this game. But that level is just impossible due to the (nonexistent) controls of the ball.

I'm actually hoping games like this don't get thru anymore.
The synopsis would be "Nothing new or interesting."
You mentioned a twist, but I never got to one, since I've played 400 platformers which were totally the same game as your game is, thus giving me no reason to let this clone thru.
There was a problem with the controls. When jumping, the controls are really wobly, making spots like "Level 4" pretty hard to get thru.

I apologize for not really reviewing the aspects of your game that much in this post. It is simply due to the immense overflow of games that are in no way different than this.
If you love what you do, you'll have to think outside the box. Think of something new!

Keep it up.

You didn't get to the twist because you didn't get to level 5.

Certainly challenging, but fun? Not at all. I won, but I wish I hadn't bothered, and I certainly have no wish to retry for the "all coins" medal, let alone the "no death" one. I think you've overestimated the joy of playing this, especially given that you can't play the levels separately to get the "no death" medal.

Irritating music, annoying game mechanics (by which I mostly mean that "ball form" which has 2 angles to travel at; "straight down" and "straight to your death"), all the levels look roughly the same (ruining any sense of progression), the difficulty hops around like crazy, and there's no satisfaction to be found here.

You can have 1 star for the graphics (the "bits" were lousy and the spikers seemed they could kill you without actual contact being required, but the rest was okay).
