Nice graphics and music gives this game a really good mood.
too bad the player spends all his time focusing on a tiny pixelated square instead of the interesting background.
sure 48 hour contests sound like fun in theory, but in reality you end up with unpolished, uninteresting crap.
1 star for trying, and .5 stars for the nice graphics... which are completely pointless.
i feel if you hadn't tried this lame contest, you could have ended up with something rather enjoyable and relaxing here. oh well
This is a good game in concept. It has good graphics, and overall it has a lot of potential. But the problem is, controls seem a bit hard, and it takes a bit to figure out how to play. Nicely done though, for 48 hours
Took me a little bit to figure out what to do, and once I did I was rather disappointed. It looked promising, but then it just turned out to be another one of those games where you trap the baddies without letting them touch you or your trail. The visuals are entirely wasted because you play the whole game staring at the minimap. If you had made the game not need the minimap so much, then it would have been more fun, but it would only be a 3.5 because there's really nothing new here. Apart from the art, which looks sort of pretty in a city way, there's nothing much to it, and I think the bad controls trump the art.
That all being said, it DOES look good, and I like your style. You just need to work more on gameplay.
Game was playable. It offered no tutorial, had to read the other reviews to realize it was just a jezzball clone, and a poor one at that. The music is a loop of the same 5 second track and gets annoying very fast. The background draws the eyes in, making it the central focus of the game, despite having no real reason to be there. Early levels are extremely small and hard to distinguish from the background. Next time focus less on the background and more on the actual game. Giving 1 star because it worked at least.
