Reviews for "Peter Bell Saves Christmas"

This game is so great, I made an account just so I could give it a review. I waited a long time to play this game and it was worth the wait! This game has given me more entertainment than some major game companies have with their games. Amazing work Dom.

Great!, besides a few glitches really fun!

One of the few flash games where I really cared what happened in the story! Great job Dom!

Preety EPIC man.

I can be totally honest in saying I didn't expect anything good from this. As much as I love Dom and his Deck'd trilogy, I was expecting a mediocre slump running on fan-pandering. My fears were almost realized in the first fighting segment when the attacking seemed choppy and slow. Luckily that wouldn't be the case when I got my first level up. From there the game took a turn for the fabulous. Almost immediately the fighting became much more streamlined, fast-paced, and really exciting. It was joyfully difficult, with a multitude of enemies and styles, requiring different fighting strategies from the player. Even the platforming segment, if a bit unfair at times, was slick, fun, and exciting.
A subtle yet important note as to why this game was so damn awesome is how seriously it DIDN'T take itself. I've always thought beat-em-up games were on the slightly more ludicrous side, and they are infinitely more fun when they take advantage of that. Much like Dad n' Me and the Abobo segment based off of that, this game is so much more enjoyable because of the fun it has with itself. Were Peter Bell to grittily (totally a word) ravage zombies, snow demons, and rabid bears to face Fred who would perform a lengthy and edgy monologue of toys Santa never got for him or parents who left him too early and the only contact he had with them was the lump of coal they delivered to his doorstep every Christmas, then I would have shut the game off and walked away. However the game just wanted to have fun the same way I did. I loved it.
