Reviews for "Plungerdog - 02: Janitor"

Pretty damn good. Trippy, but good.
Nice fluid animation, the voice actors seemed stoned while recording, that proves effective.

Please lend me some of the "stuff" you used to make this...

The imagination that you put into the trippy moments that randomly occur is pretty cool and well-animated. The voices of Gord and Jae are very similar and could benefit from some greater variation. The concept of a talking dog that was found in a toilet that can clean things is kinda interesting. I'm curious about how this dog actually cleaned anything. Did he use his tongue? Can he manipulate tools?

Other than that, the synchronization of your visual and audio cues was spot on. But the story is very lackluster. I mean, the most interesting thing that happens plot-wise is the introduction of a talking dog with a plunger on it's head. It's not really all that exciting; my suggestion is to include a little more conflict; like more resistance on the part of Jae that the dog has to overcome. Or maybe even something about the dog trying to get Gord's job back. But you do have some great skill animating; I look forward to what you come up with next.

I'm obviously not caught up on the details of these characters, but there is still a lot to be done with them.

Your art style feels experimental with the old school backdrops of a Mike Judge cartoon. The characters and the sequences however, are not very well thought out.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much since this is Newgrounds and anything including a flash loop of asses punching eachother can make front page, but with animating talent like yours, you should DO MORE with it.

Psychadelic trips and flower-child/acid trip transitions are cool and all, but the concept is dead to anyone with brain cells left.

Now for the voice acting...

It's obvious there was only one person, MAYBE two? But seriously, make the characters sound distinct from one another.

My stars to you are for your artistic talent, but nothing else, sorry dude.

This is sort of a review of the first and second ep, since I clicked on this one first - realized it was sequential, and checked out the first foist. So yeah I talk about both.

I quite like the silly but fun idea of a man who is quite literally made of Psylocibin. This DOES beg the question though... if a cannibal eats him, how strong would the trip be? Heh, I really like Gord and I think he's already the anchor for the series though I'm sure that the dog'll get expanded upon since his name IS in the title.

I like how smooth the animation is and that is rather important when you are going to use a lit of "trippy" imagery, for some reason smooth blending and trippin' just go together like bread and butter. Admittedly though even if the animation was smooth and nice, the art is a little rough. It doesn't HURT the show as a whole, since it is the content that ultimately matters, but I would have liked a less scratchy and rough approach on the characters outside of Gord unless this was intentional.

Looking forward for more, the first two were fun.

Was this stick guy on LSD or what?
But this flash is not bad.
