Reviews for "SoulCrusher Cabin"

I'm running mozilla firefox, and it works perfectly, don't know what was wrong.

Good game, for the time given, the art and animation was nice and fluid, although the game was pretty bland, but again, you only had 48 hours. Good job!

Thanks man!

great game!

was fun playing it, killed time proper!
just a suggestion: the enemies are a bit op,
try making them more fair buddy.

good luck on the next one!

thinking-man responds:

Thanks bro! I guess that's why I called it "soulcrusher".

I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that it seemed like it was a tad too easy to get one secret medal. I was surprised I managed to get that far with the fifty point medal. It seems like this didn't even have that much to do with a cabin in the woods. BTW, that's one of my favorite movies of this year. It was pretty much killer when the giant foot came. Was that a Monty Python reference?

Anyway, when I used my strongest attack, it did pretty much nothing against the foot. Maybe I just aimed it poorly? The graphics weren't that good, but still nice. I was amazed at how I was able to get into this game so much. I just couldn't stop attacking the enemies, which is the only way to win in fact.

thinking-man responds:

It's not about that movie, tom specifically said not to make it about the movie. Also the secret medals are just the boss medals, I just didn't want to show who the bosses were before you got there.

Needs upgrades. This is a game that made it to the front page because the art is good, not because the game is interesting. The game play needs a lot more work.

thinking-man responds:

It's because it's a game jam game... Made in 48 hours...

I've had much more fun playing this game than many lengthier games of many different genres. Somehow, the music was spot on and made me want to grab those puny enemies and squash them with my bare hands! Seriously, this was unexpectedly (due to the whole Game Jam thing) awesome, to say the least.

Regarding the browser warning, I'm running a modified Firefox build that performs quite well, without a single hitch or lag whatsoever. However, do note the browser is running on modern midrange hardware.

All in all, major props and I'm very eager to see what else will you release.

Congrats :)

Thanks bro!
