Reviews for "Hostile"

Another edition to a endless list of great compositions :) This is intense!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again; there's really no genre you can't do.

I love the guitar work. It's so incredibly well mixed. Worth to mention is that the mood of this piece is exactly where it should be. It'd be perfect for a chase scene. Most of all though, I love the percussion. It's incredible throughout the entire track, but my favorite part it probably where it sounds really unconventional, almost like they were played on trashcans (1:13).
The key modulation at 0:56.

You know. You should make some bad music sometime so that I have something to critisice :/
I'm only kidding of course, but all of your stuff is seriously great :)

Mattashi responds:

Thank you so much for your review Lucid :)
I spend allot of time on the percussion there's allot of stuff going on, I added Heavy toms, Octobans, rototoms and there's even some hand claps and floor stomps in there! xD
I'm glad you like the mix from the guitars, I wasn't too sure how loud I should have made them but I decided to not let it overpower the track too much.
Thanks again man! I always love hearing your input.

I would swear I'm listening to a high budget film score. To my ears this couldn't sound any better. Very well chosen samples. Very good performance, mixing and such. This would fit a scene without becoming overbearing, yet it's very powerful. I like tho structure and flow of the song. It remains interesting, because of the way the song develops. Good combination of orchestral, electronic and electric instruments. It blends well. You also mixed your live guitars in very well. Nothing sticks out, but it's all very transparent. I wish I had some helpful advise how you could make it better, but you must have spent enough time on this to make it as good as it can possibly be.

Mattashi responds:

Thanks for the great review man :)

You inspire me sir to reach to new heights and try new things! Love the idea of implementing the guitars for this.
But I'm too lazy, ha!
Love it!

Mattashi responds:

Thanks Phonometrologist :) I'm happy I inspired you and I can't wait to hear what new things you will come up with :D
