Quite frankly, I feel this game could have been something pretty good. The 3-D animations are nice especially the batter's home run animation, and the controls worked. Where this game really falls flat is the extreme lack of substance. The one good thing about this is that it doesn't lie to me. Home Run Hitter is exactly what it says it is. That's also it's biggest weakness. That's all there is. The entire game basically amounts to one play. Which is a real shame because what this game really needed was something extra. Anything as simple as a timed mode where you see how many home runs you can make in a small amount of time to a full campaign mode where you make your own team of hitters and slowly make it to the big leagues. With these additions, the game would be worth at the very least 3.5 stars. Sadly, this isn't what I was given, and the game suffers for it.

It was kinda fun because of the highscore board. It kinda stunk because your score multiplier maxes at 99 and eventually the pitcher begins throwing the same pitch over and over.
Not the best in the world but it seems like a good way to compete with your sports-loving friends. I say, let it stay!
