I don't see how I was supposed to figure out that on only one of the levels provided the exit. I had to actually look at the reviews for the solution! I would suggest adding more accurate hints because "thinking outside the box" makes you think the answer is literally outside the screen when it actually isn't, I was furiously clicking the A and B and movement buttons on the gameboy.

A clever little "experiment", as you put it, but not anything to give really high praise. I liked how you had to literally escape the game in order to win. Hopefully, this is just a small project that will lead into a much larger and more refined game with the same simplicity in controls and the same perplexing gameplay features, especially the fourth wall breaching.
hm very hard
I stumbled onto it my first go... but I thought it was just a glitch, so I proceeded to play all the levels a good five times until I understood the solution. You have no idea how many times I tried the Konami code! I feel like this was more of a game where you had to have some luck to find the end, but still, quite fun once it got to the hard parts!
Nice concept.
The later levels became a bit Super Meat Boy difficulty stuff which I love.
Wish the game could give a bit more hints however instead of just saying one line that we all think alike.
Otherwise, excellent game.
