Reviews for "We Just Exist "

everything was absolutly perfect in this film. The acting, plot, animation and MUSIC. WOW. I was completely blown away the first time I saw this back in august, and it still stuns me to this day!

I think your way of telling a story like this is brilliant, plus lots of different animation styles are used and they are used well!

That was an amazing piece of work. I find myself a religious person, and I certainly can't applaud suicide (personally, I see as somewhat cowardly), but if he did so to try and make things right I can hardly blame him. I think the ending was reasonable, I suppose if you're not a truely bad person then things can be forgiven. Overall, very touching and a true work of art.

Spectacular film,
I like how love is a landmine at the beginning of the film, makes me feel cautious; then, of course, he wakes up to a song with the word "battlefield" in it.

What really gets me is the origin of his altered perception; is it because of the lack of the brain elixir, the DNT(maybe some DMT while your at it), or was he dead all along.

Speaking of hell, I like how he went to a heaven like state when he killed himself; that's something rarely seen in art. It makes me sick seeing film after film where the dude commits suicide for perfectly logical reasons and goes to hell for it; fucking superstitions are noxious

The music is what keeps me coming back; it is so captivating, especially at the end

And of course, he was born on 4/20; oh mystical weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ed

mgproductions responds:

I love how you picked up on some really subtle things in the film.
I actually made a list that mentions (ONLY A FEW)
of the many drug references in the film.

1. Jack Campbell was born on April the 20th (4/20)
2. 4:30 in the 2nd building there is a bunch of stoners with a bong on the table
3. 6:03 when we transition into the new world
there are mushrooms scattered around. These mushrooms are modelled after Psilocybin mushrooms.
4. 6:28 we can also see more mushrooms off to each sides here.
5. 8:06 DNT is a reference to DMT
i didn't use the words DMT though because this was a school project and could not feature any drug use.

P.S: this is going of the times for the youtube version
