Reviews for "Episode one"

Very well done, the animation is very smooth (the horse-man standing up right before he transforms is perfect) but also has a few choppy moments (when the camera zooms into her face when she hairs the horses), also it kind of cuts off abruptly, I realize this is only part one of a series but without the other parts this didn't really offer much story wise, so the animation was really the only thing I can possibly say I'm impressed by. Also, the female voice actor was kind of monotone, but I guess that might be what you were going for to make it, um, elf-style lol, and the mic was pretty low quality too, also, since the music was so good during the intro I was disappointed that there was pretty much none at all during the action sequence. I think you're great at animation and drawing, there's just some fundamental stuff you need to improve on in creating a movie in general, like story structure and framing characters within the camera properly, the kind of stuff directors need to learn.

thanks for the insightful comment buddy. I'm really glad you liked the music at the beginning and I know what you mean about not having much of it through out the animation. I actually struggled with choosing what parts to use too.

Xullrae is a very calm and confident character and it comes out a bit in her voice, but I hope the audience will see more emotion in her as the series continues :)

= The horse took an arrow to the knee....Lets not even go there...

The world of fantasy comes rich when following the tales of a blues skinned humanoid named Xullrae, who made that perfectly clear "twice" when mentioning her name to the poor half dead Transapian, Since we don't know who "Miranda" is, we can assume it's not the hot chick from the mass effect series.
I think what worries me is that think she was ready to mutilate the poor guy, if he didn't get the name right the second time, a Girl is usually serious when her hands are on her hips, let me tell you.

What stands out the most is the sheer amount of effort put into the presentation, along with the setting being very serious and pretty convincing at times.
The scene that stood out for me was when Xullrea's foot was the only thing seen in one frame and at the back distance was a pursuit, its little things like that throws the edge of hardcore perception.
The acting is decent, but could be improved by adding more emotion and psychological references.
The direction of this movie was very well done and speaks well within the open world they involved themselves in.

haaa haaa being a fan of Skyrim I really appreciate that joke. Aslo it is funny you mention Mass effect because I am also a fan of that game :D And I liked Miranda's character and that is partly why I chose that name for Hazalin's (horse guy) crush.

lol yuppers Xullrae (little drow) doesn't like incompetence on any scale lol. Its what makes her so fun to use in the story.

This is the first project I have done on this scale and the insight of your comment was very helpful so thanks very much for taking the time to right. Much appreciated

Whatha bwa? A female, skilled animator who is also a D&D fan?!

Preposterous!

Four stars for voice acting, length and some of the animation being truly beautiful

Sadly, the bad microphone and sometimes rather ugly animation frames limit this to four stars.

littlegoblet responds:

wow thanx buddy. yeah I still got smooth out my sound problems. lol I don't really have a good ear for that kind of stuff. These are things I will try to improve with my next installment :D

Good i like it, keep doing more and it will be better.

littlegoblet responds:

thanx buddy I will certainly try :D
