If this series is done correctly, and you as a flash artist improve as you add on, there can be a lot of potential for this series. But there need to be no typos, an improved battle system (not "way too systematic"), some character development and possible control of a party.

I like how you dipped into the Sonic: Battle sprites, definitely keep using those.
This particular piece I'll give 3 stars, but some tweaks and a few suggestions can go a long way.

Also, Laughingbox is right, you should be able to condense this flash to a fraction of that 13.9mb.
The beastly game Madness: Project Nexus is 10.7mb.

Ok gameplay. The storyline is the most enticing part.

Alright, this flash video is way overrated, probably due to the fact that it's sonic and sprites.

The battle system... worked, it was really bland. Way too systematic, since each attack triggered a different counter of equal power. Just spam heal and you win. The sprite battling was less... decent; it looks like you're putting effort (don't see that a whole lot in amateur sprite flashes). I don't know much about flash itself, but shouldn't you be able to set the FPS higher? If you've ever seen Final Fantasy Sonic X or Sonic The Swordsman, both have been around for quite a while, but they're great.

And also, how is this flash ~14 mb? You should be able to compress this to much less...

good game but you need to add mana cause I can spam heal
