Has promise, but you need to work on pacing.
There were several parts in the movie where I consciously felt myself waiting for something to happen, but not in the good way. In the "Ok, Mario is def. going to fly to the castle now... any second now..." way.
Reduce those sorts of gaps to only a second or so rather than 6 seconds and you'll find your story is much more appealing and flows more smoothly.

Fantastic! I love this animation that I watched it a second time. The only thing I some what didn't like was the dialogue, it could have been a little better, it seemed some what robotic through most of the animation. Other then that, great work. I hope to see more videos from you soon :D.
