Reviews for "Lurking Shadows"

bueno

dude this game has sooo much potential..but its a good beta

Good game but like others said your survival completely depends on what you choose to upgrade first, good game.

Well.... It is really good, but it could be better. How well you do in this game seems to depend entirely upon what you choose to upgrade in what order. But you 'should' be able to have multiple upgrade paths that work equally well. What this says to me is that the value of the weapon upgrades is rather unbalanced. The extra speed increase doesn't even remotely cover a damage upgrade, and the extra damage doesn't cover an extra bullet. Consider rounding these off so that it is possible to play a different upgrade tree and still do well.

On the lines of upgrades you are also missing a very useful one, larger visible area. Being able to move faster doesn't do you much good if you don't know what you are running into. I found that the visible area in this really depends upon where you stand on the map. I am guessing that has to do with how you light things, but you may want to re-think that to keep the visible area the same for all parts of the room and allow an upgrade for lighting..

Also on the lines of upgrades, you can continue to upgrade past the max. Although this makes you practically invulnerable late in the game it also makes the game get pretty boring. I think I quit on level 15 or 16 but nothing had changed in the game since level 6 or 7. Keep the challenges coming or a high score table is nothing more than who is able to continue with the monotony the longest. And considering you can pause, the max score is really without limit.

Overall though I thought it was pretty fun (to a point). I don't care for hopeless battles and I would prefer if the game had a defined end. I think some tweaking of the upgrades and game dynamics would make the game much better. But really it was pretty fun, though I would personally never be bored enough to beat the number 1 score (currently 800K+) and I doubt I will hold number 2 long.

Keep up the good work!

Game is amazing and addictive the only problem is deciding where to spend your upgrades which is really just a personal problem only glitch I had was being stuck at a point where my character wouldn't move other then that simply amazing.
