tune!

theres something in the air at the mo with these spacey tunes.

I liked how you opened the track with the very false pretence as to where this track was going, it really threw me that did. than it kicked into some weird modern rock tune, very cool though, that vocal bit tho really sounds like marilyn manson to me, it has a nice electro vibe to it, i dont know why. the monotonous beat works, builds up anticipation as the song keeps building. nice reversed distortion.

Its a very cool track, you have a unique style which impresses me to no end, pushing the far reaches of music. it also has the vibe of primal scream too this track.

anyways i loved it. 10/10

hehe, cheers pitters, summin in the air... maybe, ur recent guitar stuff inspired me to get back on it tbh, used to make loads of guitar stuff but it sits getting dusty most of the time now. marilyn manson eh? that certainly was not intentional! as for the intro giving false pretences, well, this is another track that wrote itself, i had no idea it was gonna turn all rocky, the beginning just came to a natural full stop... anyways, nice one

All tens :)

Hehe... this time it's a tad Tomahawk-y as well :)

Totally good man, this. I've listened to it a couple of times now and as I suspected, it grew on me.
Intro is great fun, just when it seems to lose all sense it repeats the line. Skillfully composed and played, very unconventional but still coherent. That reversed... something... sent a chill down my spine at times. I also really dig that sample in the background, sort of a wind sound but with a distinctive pitch - it's details like that that make a difference!
The 2nd guitar is a great addition, gives it a bit of 12-string feel and wouldn't have hurt to go on for a while longer.

After the break, I have to admit it takes a little time to get used to what happens. But the vox kick ass and the semi-palmmuted lead (say hi to Duane Denison) puts everything back in (dis)order.

I was sort of expecting it to explode into some hyper psychedelic thrash rock, and while I know that you make it your duty not to live up to expectations, I think that may just have been the ultimate finishing touch for this. It's already worthy of a 10 as it is, though.

If you want to add some vocals to "Time for bed", I'd be delighted. PM me, I can give you the wav of it or at least a better mp3.

Great job again. I'll check more of your stuff in the near future. We should consider combining our efforts some time - I'm thinking guitar hybrids with crazy breakbeats, distorted sqeals, whatever, it could be lots of fun :)

yo wintang, glad u enjoyed this one, i've been cranking it out my car stereo today.
didn't really think about tomahawk when i was making it, just naturaly comes through, patton on the brain:/ but yeh, now u mention it the palm mute is a bit duane. as for some htp rock at the end, i was gonna take it up a notch but my cpu was growling at me and i couldn't be bothered to mix down all the vox and guitar on the second half (already had to do the intro) so i copped out and gave it a cheap ending. hmmm, i really am not a vocalist but i'll sure as hell listen to time for bed again and see if i can think of summin. as for a collab, would be good, i think we have similiar musical sensibilities

you're right...

....guitar is good, i love my guitars more than life itself, well, perhaps a slight exaggeration, but I do love my gits.
Rather lovely intro to this tune, nice picking, good interesing changes and cool floaty fx in the backing, with purposefull tone. Cool bassline, following the melody and straying every now and then. Great idea with the break, is he gonna bring the guitar picking back in over the squelch i wonder? NIce vocals, indecipherable, but work well, i like that kinda style. This has to be the most interesting and individual piece i've heard from you, i would be making stuff similar to this if i could record my guitar and vox, maybe it's a ginger gene or something:) we're all creative bastards at heart, hehe.
I cant find anything i don't like about this trk, it's just really rather good, maybe bringing the picking in wih the squelch and beats might've been interesting, but fuckit, great stuff man.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

thanks mr.bastard. yeh, i like the first lot of vox, can't hear the lyrics - reminds me of a band called totimoshi a bit. yeh, u should get ur guitar and mic out, would be interested to hear what u come out with.
