At first I was a little bit wary, a dungeon crawler and a defense game? Seemed like a long shot. But, it's really good. The background music was creepy enough to make me feel like a mad mage lurking around with all manner of creepy critters to fight for me, and it DID NOT get old, very enjoyable.
Art wise, it isn't the prettiest, but the creatures are freaky enough looking they don't need anymore detail, lol. The rest was well done too, so congratulations on that.
The upgrading system was well done, so was the trophy room. Incorporating them as other dungeon areas with real trophies and an old evil sorcerer's book was a great touch.
The game play itself was pretty fast paced and went smoothly. It kept me grooving to make sure none of the little villagers got MY treasure stash! Haha.
Do I have any complaints? None really, just few spelling errors and you're golden. 4/5 9/10
Not bad on the mechanics, but the action is a little slow and the art could use a little work.
