Reviews for "The Safety Gnome"

nice work! i'm just starting learning how to animate myself and damn, it's hard. to pull this off so quickly and nicely is so amazing to me. awesome job and thanks for including me! :)

Kreid responds:

Not a problem, and the only reason I did this so fast is because I pulled a LOT of late nights in the week :P
And thanks back at ya for voicing :D

Very educational animation with nice voice-acting. About animation style - haters gonna hate. But the most funny thing is, that ppl just can't get the third rule (reminds me of Trotters somehow :3).

Folks are rating this low without cause, it's great - funny - if a bit slow - my only suggestion is to cut the overall time of animation down. A bit quicker to the punch, you know what I'm saying? It's just the nature of your audience, I feel.

The first stare could be more intense, fade, zoom to eyes kinda thing for an easy fix. I think it would add to the atmosphere & impact I think you're going for when the safety gnome jumps in and makes his debut.

Otherwise, your animation is solid and I dig your work, keep it up! :D

Kreid responds:

Thanks for the tips on the opening!

Oh shut up. If you don't like it, then why did you have time to make a review about it? Kreid makes some pretty awesome animations.

Kreid responds:

Thanks fella!

This has the awful animation style of a British anime fan who doesn't know how to keep their British-cross-anime style out of their videos. Only British people make eyes and face shapes like that and have them do those kinds of animations. But there's way too much anime going on in the overall British style too.

If there's anything that Britain has taught us, its that you can't take "cartoons" seriously. It shows, and that is why I hate British-styled animation. Try pure anime, or the American styles of G.I. Joe, classic Disney (up to, and including, Lilo and Stitch) or Sponge Bob. Other than that, make up your own, tasteful animation style. This British animation style is tasteless and ugly and starting to get on my nerves...

But I know you guys are just going to get offended anyway. I'm not insulting a person-- just an art form. It's not like I'm actually doing a malicious, uneducated bashing. So don't censor me.

That was just too contradictory to even care
