About the only problem with the game would be the lack of difficulty, especially with how quickly you can level up if you're just running around killing anything you see(Since I'd forgotten some of the hidden items and had to hunt them down, I wound up being level 107 going into the final battle the second time...)

I thought it was a neat touch how over time, things you couldn't fight before were suddenly getting destroyed by your ever-growing magic power. The biggest culprit of this would be when I was fighting the things that were normally only vulnerable to a single spell, and I suddenly started being able to just lay waste to them.

I was a little upset that there wasn't more use for each of the different spells(Gale wasn't even necessary at ALL for the puzzles, as far as I noticed, and you only used the electric and water ones once, plus the fire one didn't have any field effect unless you iced yourself in by accident while firing that spell.)

All in all, though, definitely a good way to spend a while, and I hope to see something like this again!

P.S. Have you played LevelUp? This game somewhat reminded me of that, actually.

fantastic game, very good. i personally Love 8 to 16 bit platformers. :)
good job

Nice stuff! The simple/understandable gameplay is mixed really well with enticements to keep you going, like learning new spells, leveling, unlocking areas, etc. Visually though very simplistic, a really cool nostalgia is triggered that makes you feel like a kid wanting to beat that next area. I love the colors and visual feel, and the controls were really smooth. :) 4.5

how do you get the light blue key?
good game though

This is a great game and all, but there's just one overarching flaw: the map. It deletes portions you've explored in a seemingly arbitrary way. I beat the final boss early, and when I hit continue, I was back at the nearest save spot with the rest of that corner of the map completely black. I refreshed the page and checked the map; the area is there but there are black boxes about half a screen wide dotted all over the place. It doesn't seem to matter how many enemies you've killed there or how shortly after you save---you're bound to reexplore something out of doubt.
