Reviews for "Zombie Pinball"

Great idea but...

I feel like the ball was too "light". I loved the gameplay, but turned it off pretty quickly because I became bored waiting for the ball to get close enough to the flippers. If you could tweak the ball to "weigh" more in-game, it would be a really awesome game.

137 hit combo yay love it. make another one dude.

Brings back memories

Ah, I remember games like Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga back in the day (Showing my age now). When I decided to play this game, all kinds of memories flooded back. Unfortunately, the old games are still better, but lets be fair about this review.

Pro -
This game has clearly been made with care, love and a great deal of effort.
Nice twist by having zombies on the board.
Graphics are well done.

Con -
The zombie killing gets old quickly as you wait for ages for your ball to come back so that you can have some say in its direction.
A distinct lack of loops and shoots which are the hallmark of any pinball machine.
Music got repetative and didn't really add to the game experience much.
The physics felt too light, so it gave the impression I was knocking a ping pong ball about, rather then a solid metal one.
Nothing but graves and zombies. This would have made a nice bonus feature or special play, especially for multiball, but it needed something else to stop me gettingbored.

Overall-
I played this for about 5 mins before turning it off. On the other hand, I have an urge to find those old Amiga games on emulator and play those instead.

Cool

Reminds me of dragon's fury on the megadrive, very well done.

I'm not too worried about the visual effects blocking the ball like most are mentioning but it would be nice if the flippers could be mapped to any key.

(i.e left ctrl and enter on the numeric keypad.)

It's more of a comment then criticism though as this is the finest flash pinball i've seen to date.

box10 responds:

Glad you enjoyed the game! You can actually change the key mapping before you start the game. Perhaps we should have added it to pause screen too.

Played it on Normal

I really enjoyed this and got into it. I don't think having so many explosions helped anything. They actually made the game laggy and made the ball hard to see. Other than that I killed the big brain 3 TIMES before GAMEOVER. I had 2,479,429.
I would have liked to see something more fleshed out as far as maps go. Graves, graves, graves, and more graves really got generic and boring.
Kept me interested none-the-less. Good Job!
