Reviews for "Cracked Pavement"

Hey there,

i realy liked the piece from the composional aspect - the chords were cool and you had a clear structure in the piece, also i love the jazzy influence. The only thing - which already had been mentioned - is the sample quality. Besides that a really cool piece!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thank you, SoundChris! One day I'll be able to spend some money on a robust sample library or three, but for now it simply isn't an option. Still, it's been really great to hear that, despite the lack of quality in the samples, my overall composition and structure are solid. Happy to hear that you like it, and thanks again for the review!

Beautiful! Reminded me of Liquid Tension Experiment - Biaxident

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks, Jimmypig! That's a pretty sweet compliment, man. :) Glad you enjoy the jam.

Oh dang, this is great! I agree with johnfn, the samples are kinda awful, but it's still fantastic.

Congrats on 170 fans! (I was the 170th lol ^-^)

ChronoNomad responds:

Haha thanks, larrynachos! Congrats on being my 170th fan, thanks for the kudos, and I'm glad you enjoy the jam. If I can do this with such godawful samples, just imagine what I could do with the good stuff! ^__~

Really great composition but dang those samples sound fake D: Oh well, who cares. That final piano jam is pretty sweet :D

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks, johnfn! ...I think. Fake? Whaaat!? Nah, that's cool. You're not wrong, after all. :P
Weirdly enough, that's kind of what I was going for. Mostly. Probably. Folks seem to like it, so that's super cool and groovy.

My time has been severely limited due largely to other priorities, so I kind of had to bust it out the quick and dirty way. But you know what? That actually seems to be part of the track's overall charm. I wanted it to have a decidedly retro flavor, and that seems to have worked out nicely somehow. As long as it's fun to listen to, that makes it a rousing success in my eyes! Huzzah!

Honestly, that's a right fantastic score you went and gave me. It means a lot to me, so seriously--thank you. I do love me a sweet piano jam! ^__^

Makes me think of an old SNES(or another console) game that had such an immersive soundtrack, I leave the game on pause just to enjoy the beat of it ^_^.

It can rival some of the best music done in indie gaming of today. You have a very promising future as a musical composer and I call dibs on your contract, RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW! (not joking!)

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks a lot, linkerman! Full stars? Superlative! So, um...are you like a talent agent or something? If you're serious, send me a PM. Heck, send me one even if you're not serious and we can just chat about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! :D

I remember a bunch of SNES (and other consoles) titles that had that kind of really amazing music you could just listen to for hours on end. Classic games like Contra, DuckTales, Chrono Trigger, and pretty much any Final Fantasy. Of course the only issue with that is that you're not actually playing the game itself. #firstworldproblems Anyway, having this compared to one of those is really quite the compliment. Thanks again!
