Reviews for "A Boy and his Box"

Wow

This was AMAZING. The story was really well built, the designs were cool, the music fit well in (although sometimes it got a bit too loud), and the narrator's voice was good too; soothing, if you like. On a side note, were the colors of the characters a Zelda reference? Ya know, green is courage, red is power and blue is... wisdom? Actually, never mind that.

Not bad.

It was nice. Not too much wrong with it. The story was cute and I liked the character designs. I know a lot of comments have already pointed the issue with the volume levels, so I'll skip that. Another thing I noticed was a bunch of holes in the colouring and just some messy lines. I found it a little corny, but if it's aimed towards younger children that's not that big a deal. The biggest questions I have are: 1) What was up with the dreams? Those feel like they need explanation. 2) Why on earth is it rated T??? Overall, it wasn't a bad use of 17 minutes.

In essence

He had mutliple personality disorder....

Not half bad

your hard work is easily seen although the story is quite generic, from the point something changed the outcome was easily predictable(especially the last words,i said it before the narrator even XD),but you have a good talent and i know you'll improve, just focus less on narration next time and keep it shorter, let the animation do MOST of the talking cause the x button on I.E. was quite tempting at some times.

Well, I really liked it

I liked this story. It's quite calm, relaxing, and the lack of combat is actually quite good. Of course it has nothing original, but i didn't wait anything original of it, so i wasn't desappointed at all.

It's a tale, a good tale, quite touching, and i enjoyed it a lot.

I only put 9/10 for one thing: some details should have been more studied, as why he dreams of the dragon and the rebuilding city... I really wonder "why is he dreaming of this?", and i didn't get an answer. I think this animation is the sort of "base" for a longer, maybe 1 hour animation movie with thickened story and twists! That would be really really great!

Anyway, I liked it very much, so 5/5, but just 9/10 for the little lack of precisions on some details...

Xcyper33 responds:

The dreams foreshadowed the characters. The Sinewgar beast is a play off of the word: Sinew, which means strength. The other dream has a similar foreshadowing. I guess I made it too subtle.
