Reviews for "Lab of the Dead"

Great but may turn away some people

The game does get a bit tedious after seeing the same unskippable animations a dozen or more times but otherwise the game is original, interesting and fun to play overall.

I am having trouble getting 100% completion though, I can't seem to trigger the Teddy Bear advanced reaction despite trying out all the reactions with all the animals (save the advanced live cat one). I can't tell if its impossible or I haven't done something right yet.

Really love this game

I find it more fun than the traditional run and shoot zombie games. I think I found a glitch though: When my research speed was level 0 all research was completed instantly. When i upgraded it for the first time however I had to start waiting.

Fixed with v1.3 :D Sorry about that "fuck you" feature haha

it begins to get boring

its every time the same routine thats boring HOW ABOUT A FIGHTING ACTION GAME!

Ewwww...........

great game but..... take a close look at the bannanas!

An awfully ruined potential

I sincerely hardly think of this game as any good, but the thing is, the idea is pretty bright, and it has a lot of potential; but it has to be remade, and I mean pretty much from the scratch.

The story itself sounds interesting, but you went a very wrong way about telling it, and the perspective is pretty damn awful too. It would be much neater if we had a more organized interface instead of that weird first-person view (which is pretty much pointless, considering this isn't a FPS), so I don't have to click about a gazillion times to go from some data to an object and similar. Take a look on, for example, Rebuild (2) which also happens to be about zombies - quick and simple gameplay.

The voice acting is very annoying, as we could pretty much do a much faster and better job reading the story progress by ourselves, instead of waiting for the text to scroll down so we can read it all. Sorry, but you wanted a lot of time narrating all that text.

The other thing is the animation, which while good, is absolutely unnecessary. It takes way too much time out of the game.

And some, if not most of the interactions are very boring, and it takes so much time to find an interesting reaction. The task to find about 40 neutral reactions (which are pretty much non-existent reactions) is plain silly. I don't want to watch zombies getting bored with stuff so much.

And last but not least, it would be much better if you actually were a scientist on a task that didn't just happen to get presented with a huge cage of zombies. If you could actually catch them by yourself, it would be a small but nice addition to the whole zombie-like atmosphere. :(

Evil-Dog responds:

Blablabedibla....I won't even bother reading, just go make your own damn game why don't you.
