Reviews for "FiM - Iron Pony Challenge"

See diglett 490 yep thts me

Im sorry but i played with rainbow dash and pretty much none of the controls worked hardly at all.. I never once got to jump and the bounce thing was pretty ridic. I'm not sure if this is your first time at a game but..... yea no D:

Nice game overall butthere are a few problems, namely the tug of war doesnt feel responsive and that ball seems to have a mind of its own but I would say overall the quality of the gameplay is good but the visuals could use more polish and maybe add some special abilities for Rainbow Dash and Applejack for each event that they can utilize such as Dash's wings and speed to help in the Tug of War and Long jump (Speed would also help with the hurdles) and Applejack's physical strength and apple bucking kicks for the power kick and hoofball (Strength could also help with the Tug of War)

JinrohDev responds:

Thanks for the review. ^^ Actually there are strength and speed stats behind each pony and Dash does have a higher speed rating and a lower strength rating than Applejack. Visually you can tell when you do the Hoofball Punt or similar strength type event which Applejack has a larger bar to fill, representing more potential strength.

The Tug of War is a bit of a tricky event. I'm not sure how you're playing, but I see some people repeatedly tap each arrow as it comes up which isn't really the case. Any tap after the first doesn't count. Additionally if you tap the wrong arrow when a new arrow comes up, you immediately lose that mini-round of tugging.

So you have to ideally hit the arrow that comes up as quick as you can just once, before the opposite pony's AI taps the arrow. It's a bit tricky, but like the Bullriding event of World Games (NES), with some practice you can get the timing. I was encouraged to make the final event rather tricky as it would make only the best of the best be victorious at the game. it's quite winnable when you get the hang of it, but takes some practice. ^_^;

The graphics yes, some of them were done rather quickly, a lot were just lifted from some projects I had lying around, I don't think they're too bad, but I suppose for people that are used to nice vector art or whatever they'd look a bit primitive. ^^ I've since learned vector art so any future games will likely use that unless I really need to go with an old school pixel style. ^^

Thanks for playing. ^^

It is not loading

Why it's sooo slow? Any idea? It's unplayable... and it looked like fun game :(
