Reviews for "Doom2 - The Damned"

wow how u get it

u do have a copy right of this ???

Mataro responds:

Do I have the rights to this song? Hell no, but I can legally post this because I rewrote all the notation. It counts as my own, but I give the courtesy credits to the original author, who's name I unfortunately forgot at the moment, haha. Thanks for the review! ^^

Ahh ... Doom!

This is one of my favorite Doom 2 songs. It's the perfect song for the game. I mean, it makes you feel like there's a Baron of Hell around every corner. The creeping melody is awesome, and you did a fantastic job remixing it. Excellent work, man. 5/5

Mataro responds:

Wow, haha, thank you very much, this is definately one of the more fun songs of the game, and I agree about the Baron bit. Although, you know, there are Barons of Hell, and Hell Knights, the barons are the large pinkish ones, and the Knights are the grey ones, haha. Thanks again for the review, I plan to revisit DooM sometime soon =D.

Oh, this takes me back.

But only about a year; I bought the re-release :-p

Very good, I can imagine playing to this one; while different, it still has 'that' feel to it.
The Damned indeed... -X-

Mataro responds:

Lol, everyone loves the classics right? Its apparent when this song is crushing my others in DL count lol. Even though its still only at 41 >.>. Lol, oh well, I'm glad that I could offer a bit of nostalgia, maintaining that original spine shivering feel was the idea lol. Thanks again! ^^

Ok

Well, I could see how this could be in a game. Since you said it's almost like the exact original I gave it a 2 for originality since it's a cover.

For future references, when you do a game remix you can make it so much better by adding stuff in.

For example, it's the same tune over and over again with varifications. Perhaps during that time sometime you just add in a new beat like a bass going (boom boom clap) (boom boom clap) and you could turn it into a total trancey.

This is something you should think about when you do your next remix, make sure to add in as much as possible and make it unique ;) I think it will help you out alot. Add in some new beats!

If you did it with this, I really think this would have been an awesome piece.

Anyways, I hate to self-advertise but I'v come out with a new piece and I consider it my best work to date... so maybe you could give it a listen/review/vote. ;)

I gave you 5/5 on this anyhow.

And don't take the 6 and the other low votes personally... as you probably know already i'm not a very easy reviewer ;)

Mataro responds:

Sounds good, yes this was more of a cover than anything, and yes I do believe I will at one point remix it, or another song from the series lol. I'll take your ideas =p, maybe spoof Queen a bit and throw a DooM spin on it lol, should turn out interesting. But as for right now, I'm still trying to get back on track after losing my GarageBand T.T. FruityLoops works a completely different way -.-. Thanks for the review though, hope to see ya stop by again, because your the only person who seems to give me a completely helpful review lol.

I have never played doom before

But I know what I like. And that track is something I liked. I love video game remixes. I like them because they were written by professionals so you know they are good.

Mataro responds:

Never played DooM!? Thats only the second time I have heard that, you should go and download DooMsDay, its free and its the full DooM game with a better engine =p. Thank you very much for the review! But a word of advice, don't bother with DooM 3, cause well, it sucks lol. DooM 2 is the only way to go =p. Now watch as I likely get spammed/blammed etc. for saying DooM 3 sucks lol.
