Reviews for "RPG Shooter: Starwish"

Well, this is gonna hurt you.

Boy oh boy, where do I start?

The game play - although the controls fit well. There are always these little glitches that instantly kill you, weather you're pushed off the screen by the wall or not. Then there's the tiny little problem with weapons doing nadda. I.E. The rapid lightning. Being literally the strongest weapon in the game. You'd think it'd get more than a point per level? Nope. Then there's the random level indicator for weapons I forgot to mention, and only eight slots out of thirteen that'll spawn, and a 50% chance to double. Or even TRIPLE the same weapon with a single level difference. This annoyed the level hell out of me to no end. 1/2

The music/sounds - this is the only aspect of the game I only partially liked. Although the mu7sic was good, it was repetitive, as were some of the sounds like running against the wall to keep your ass alive. 2/2

Next up to batta batta, the graphics. They weren't bad. But they weren't great either. Which begs me the question as to how the hell it uses 100% of your processes during game. A multi moving background isn't something you needed to put in. At all. 1/2

The story - Incredibly long, incredibly tedious to read, which is where MOST of the game play lies. Is in it's story. Considering over 75% of the game is played in the story. The game can be beaten within 15 minutes if you constantly skip the story. 0/2

Finally, the creator - This could have been implemented a lot better than it was, and the thing that bugged me the most? Was that there was no auto save feature. So when the game freezes up on you after doing the same level a couple of times after getting so far in the game, and you reloading the browser. Get what you get to do? You get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. 0/2

ohhh my god i don't care i just want to shoot things. why would u think it's enjoyable to watch two static images hold text convocations for what feels like hours.

i wouldn't mind so much if they were shorter and the plot had any kind of pace, but it felt like they were longer than the actual levels. i don't know maybe it's just me, i wanted more game play, not a book.

Can't give this game good score. Sorry, even though the game play was good, and I liked the upgrade system all that talking, SO MUCH POINTLESS TALKING! With no point at all. It killed the game for me

Here's the problem with your concept... you have no idea who you're audience is. If you want to make a shooter, make a shooter. If you want to make a visual novel, make a visual novel. Jumping between the slow, thoughtful intrigue of a visual novel, and the frantic adrenaline rush of a shooter leaves the audience disoriented and jarred.

It just doesn't work, as a concept. If you cut out the shooter parts of the game and added some more choices in the dialogue, I'd say this was a fine visual novel.

Game stuck on first level
