Nice message, bad game

It's good that you're trying to raise awareness of Cambodia but as a game this is awful. What's more after the end it takes so long to get to the stuff about Cambodia that players are likely to just quit, should be able to get to that stuff quicker. Overall it's good that someone's using games to talk about important issues but pity it's done in such a shallow way. Thanks for including the no music option

@ Genocide - WHAT?!

Alright, let's take this one step at a time.

1) So you're "insulted" by this and the way it's been described at GiantBomb? HOW?! You don't actually tell us what's so "insulting." Because you don't "connect with the message"? You're insulted because you don't think it's good? I'm confused.

2) If you had let go of the spacebar for one second, only the man with the gun would have stopped, making it obvious who you were controlling. Even then, I would argue it doesn't really matter.

3) How is the depiction of Cambodia not accurate? How do you know? I grew up in Thailand and visited Cambodia many times. I'd like to know what you think is inaccurate.

Personally I think it's a quality experience. I think we all agree it doesn't matter how much of a "game" this is. But from my view it's a better interactive experience than many "games" I've paid good money for.

Overrated.

As a flash developer, i am actually a bit insulted by this game and how it's being advertised by giantbomb. I understand that there is a "message" behind this flash, but they way it is presented is just not easy for me to connect with. Fot a bit there, i was unsure of if i was the guy with the gun, or the hostage. (you're the guy with the gun, it does EVENTUALLY become obvious).

In the end, i don't really know who i should be telling to play this. It's not a good game(because it was never intended to be), and it's not really a very thick personal endevour. If anything, it's kind of a piss-poor-paper-thin look at how Cambodia is, and even then it's not completely accurate.

Just one question

Why did you put in the landmines?

Even if there are landmines in Cambodia, putting them in kinda hurts the purpose of the whole game.

It's not helpful if you're gonna tell people about the tragedy when you're interrupting them with a sudden explosion that makes me think ".....what the heck?"

Touching and informative

The music was beautiful, and it added to the feel of the "notgame." Thank you for informing the public of what happened. This "notgame" truly does belong in the category "Art," and I'm so glad to have found it. I now know of a beautiful song, and of this horrible, tragic event.

-You always have a choice. It's up to you to acknowledge that it's there.
