!!!

To some degree, I agree with the others, in that a lack of a "quest" format leaves a little to be desired and makes this feel a little more like a demo than a complete game. That said, if you call this a demo, then it would have to be the best flash demo that I've ever head the pleasure of playing. Graphics, music, and gameplay are all superb.

It was difficult to distinguish what stuff actually acted as walls and what was just confounding decoration that could be swum through, and there was an awful lot of confounding decoration. That made it more challenging and actually a bit more fun to explore, but when it came to racing it started to annoy me. If I were very motivated to optimize my racing, I might go from checkpoint to checkpoint slowly and meticulously on a mapping run to figure out the optimal path and memorize it for an actual race. But that seems like more work than I really want to do because I'm lazy.

The acrobatic subgame had to be my favorite. I'm very much looking forward to another William and Sly, and would like to see such acrobatics play a role in it.

Me no likey the quiz tho.

no real objective

you could at east made the passable places easier recognisable.

Simply wonderful

Amazing. I found this game to be a really good stress reliever. The music was so calm and soothing. I like the layers of environment. Very tropical. Very interesting sea creatures lol. Detail was great for this type of game achievements gave a little more zest to it as well as the mini games. Its very much like William and Sly. I think it would be fun if you opened up more, as in more area to cover.

My only crit is when sometimes when you move fast the eye has trouble following and the movement is blurred, but then again its more real.

Kajenx responds:

I'm planning to run WaS2 at a higher frame rate so that should fix the blurring problem on the tile engine. Glad you liked it!

I'm conflicted!

I just don't like how random it feels. I'm spoiled by Ecco, where I have a plot with crystals and aliens.

This game absolutely owns on graphics and trippy music. You nailed the setting, I'm absolutely feeling tropical underwater exploration. But I didn't feel any connection to the items I'm collecting. They serve no purpose in the plot (because there is none), and they don't enable or purchase upgrades (because, again, there are none). I like how there are quasi-achievements built in, but these should definitely be optional newgrounds medals, and not the whole point of the game.

Even though it feels like half a game to me, this is clearly the better half, so I'm giving you 6 stars instead of 5.
