Reviews for "-=LJC=- She fed me the lotus"

Good Ol' LjCoffee

Click, Crack, Snap, Pop. esreveR.

Great track. Love the panning with the 808 clicky's. Great Reverse-ish sort of drum beat. Love this track. Ambience was overflowing wiht grime. Awesome. Why did she feed you lotus? Great track. I 5'ed it earlier in the day.

Check out my new song.

LJCoffee responds:

Why feed the lotus?

So that I would forget the past and stop caring about the future - those who ate the lotus fell asleep and stopped caring about ever going home.

The lotus-eaters are from Odysseus - but seeing as how this track is so disjointed and jumps around from one thing to the next, giving it that random feel, I thought it was an appropriate title. I would imagine that any if of the lotus eaters composed music that it might sound a little like this. :D

Woo

Woooo this was quite a ride!!! It made me move my body to the beat.. like umm bob it i guess... like how u bob ur head... ionno the word to describe it :D!!!

Anyways, I loved it! Yay 4 this piece!

5/5

LJCoffee responds:

Hey thanks for the review - I'm glad you got a kick out of it.

You mentioned that you were moving your body to the beat - did that hurt? :D

Given the many poly and arythms of this track, I imagine that if someone saw that they might have mistaken it for a siezure! lol

Thanks for listening and taking the time to review it!

uber Randomness

+ nice high trance, high, techno feel to it. very random because of it
- to random at parts, it ripped you away from the song a bit when it got out of hand.
- some of the samples you used really didn't fit
+ the random element did however keep the song fresh. its a big bonus when your audience doesn't get tired of a song they're listening to.
+ alot of the beats you used were really good, and you could probably make standalone songs out of them.

LJCoffee responds:

Thank you for this review - I like your review style - it helps identify both strong and weak points in a very clear way.

I appreciate the time and effort!

Aw, I didn't get first review?

Damn Immune, always ahead of me. I'll have his head soon though...

*Ba dum bum pish!*

Very slow and groovy track, though. I always need my does of glitch. Or else I'l die if I don't get it :(

When you use those womans voices (thats what it sounds like, LOL) I was like "I am tripping out so much I am going to commit suicide." So I did, and I went to heaven, and then this review got earased and I was like "HEY WTF >:O11!!1111!!!!!1" Then I sat down and started to write this review.

BTW, this music pwns. And you know it. I've got a new ambient track coming soon, and this song is just the inspiration I need to finish it sometime :D Its a sine wave ambient track with glitch and sliced dirty drums. Very Kingbastard and your style like :D:D:D:D

Yeah. You pwn. Your music rapes me.

Great work, fewl!

LJCoffee responds:

Lotus? Did you eat the Locuests with soem Fava Beans and a nice Chianti? Pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft!

I like it... Very industrialized and broken down into many section. There's nothing better then listening to something that is so random and unpredictable. Extremerly original, outstandingly random and amazingly arranged.
