Not bad but;
You still need INSTRUCTIONS, backgrounds, the ability to spin by simply pressing down, etc, etc. I'm sure you know all of this already, but still an overall good job.

Not nearly as shitty as first appeared!
For a first game, this actually isn't bad. The music was an alright choice, there's a selection of characters, and the hit detection and whatnot is passably good. It's a little irritating when the "ring pickup" noise goes all at once, maybe you could have tried limiting the sound effects for them to only two at most or something.
One other annoyance... try not to use Shift as the main button for future games, because Stickykeys keeps trying to come on.
Keep on working on it and you could make a nice platformer of your own, if you're an artist or can find an artist buddy. Hope this was a great learning experience for you
