Reviews for "Burrito Bison"

Addicting

Must say its probably one of the best catapult games ive ever played. I feel like the big variety of special enemies with each individual mini game kept me playing until the end. Lol good way to put it is that i only spent an hour and 35 minutes on it without a break.

A Nice Addition to the Genre

I was having trouble sleeping last night, staring at the ceiling above my bed. I just kept thinking to myself, "The one thing that genere of catipult/tossing type games on Newgrounds really needs is a game starring a Mexican Wrestler named Burrito Bison who gets abducted by gummy candies in a flagrant violation of his human rights, and must catapult himself out of Candy Land using the ropes of his wrestling ring and the bouncy properties of his gummy abductors and the items they carry." Then, I logged into Newgrounds and saw this.

All kidding aside, and ignoring the bizarre backstory, this game was fun. It really hit the right blend of difficulty and pace. Never did it get monotonous like some of the similar tossing games out there, where you find yourself repeating it again and again and again to grind for your upgrades. Each time I found myself starting to get the slightest bit frustrated, I had enough cash to buy the next upgrade which kept me interested a little longer. Plus, the game includes a nifty little feature that tells you when you have enough saved up to buy an item in the shop, so you don't have to waste time checking all of the prices and monitoring your progress in between rounds. You can just keep playing.

And it's fast. It never got long and tedious like some of the other tossing game, where each round starts to take forever to complete.

And it's simple. No directional controls or fancy features. Just your mouse button, and a nifty array of different special items you can crash into that are used in different ways, all with one or a series of mouse button clicks. Upgrades are used to affect not only your character, but the playing field as well, increasing the frequency of various special items you encounter. If you like catapult/tossing games, definitely try this one. If you don't, give it a go anyway.

Best game of it's kind

I was never really a fan of the catapult games, but this one is great. Certainly one of the best in the genre.

i love it

i played through the whole thing without getting bored or frustrated. it wasnt too difficult, but it was still very challenging. i really like the music, it matches the mood. Also, the idea of doors is very original and i give you a cookie for that. *here's a cookie*. I dont think there is anything to improve on without making the game more complex in which it would destroy the intended need for it to be simplistic and entertaining. Well done. This is a near perfect game that almost everyone would enjoy with the exclusion of anyone who didnt have 1hours worth of time to kill to finish the game. Which reminds me, i would have liked another comic at the end, but stuff it! whos complaining :P

awsome fun

i played this game for about an hour and loved it :D wish there was more upgrades though
