Pardon my bluntness

I'll start with commenting on what was great with this flash, and that's the music.
It really set the mood wonderfully, especially when the bombers show up.
The background art was nice, but it also felt very... brakenwoodesque. It's something we've been seeing more and more often on the portal, in my opinion. But it's a solid style, and it works, so why not.
The voice acting was also surprisingly good, it felt odd hearing Kirbopher do something other than hollering incoherently like an enraged gorilla for once. The voice actor for the girl was also pretty good.
The flash itself was... incredibly short plot-wise and the script was very, very cliché.
A boy and a girl walk to an overlooking cliff where the boy goes on about the fragility of the landscape, after which the girl suddenly starts talking about destiny. The boy replies with the most horribly overused line I have ever heard in my life.
And then disaster strikes.
I wasn't thoroughly impressed with the story so far.
It's nothing new, nothing pioneering, the character art felt rushed and unpolished.
Basically, music and voice acting was great. Story and character art needs a lot of touching up. With so many war tales and games surfacing, this really falls short.
Best of luck on the sequel.

well...

I think the art was nice, and intens (for me :) ) . The main thing thet I dont like in this thet, again whit the evil german nacis ...uuu... so evil, kiling inisint lovers, and honest people... ye... thats not the whol story.. any whay the animation was good.

So, the graphics and the sound are solid...

...the script, however, is lousy. We've got a completely histrionic dialog in the beginning and some cheap dramatics in the end. The way I see it the girl just had to die and the best thing that writer could think up is nazi bombers pummeling some... field. Also, April is a VERY French name. To sum up, you'd have to lose the over-the-top pathos to find a grateful viewer in me. Right now I fail to see anything new or interesting here.

I see what you're getting at...

I liked the animation style, and the music choice was also good. The story seems pretty compelling I suppose. There's only a few things I have to critique:
-The drawings could use a little improvement
-Animation needs to be a tad smoother
-This is not historically correct. The Germans did indeed occupy France in 1940, but I'm fairly sure they didn't bomb them. If you're going to continue this little love story, I suggest you read up a bit on the history of the time period.
All in all, a good effort. 5/5 6/10

mah..

It's a nice animation and all, good looking, nice music choice with only the need for a bit more care for voice acting (specifically, if you dub a character placed in an open field you cannot speak in a little room and too close to the mic).
the only thing I didnt like is the plot, come on, a bunch of bombardiers coming out and start bombing an OPEN FIELD?? why? to kill two poor peasants?
disappointing.
