Reviews for "Voyager (with subs)"

Rofl

Take that NverseMpossiblpRadox, you got told. But more to the point, this would probably endup being what happens, but we'll never know.

MASA?

That would be, Mexican Aeronatics and Space Administration? In what universe is THAT happening?

There are no adam and eve references on the disk on Voyager. The man and woman in the image are stark naked, sans fig leaves. Of course, this is the alternate universe where Mexico rules the world apparently, so maybe some crazy shit happened differently. But one thing would be the same. No alien civilizations are going to find Voyager and come here as a result. Which object do you think they'll find first? A 1 ton piece of inert metal in interstellar space, or an 8000 mile planet in close orbit around a giant ball of glowing incandescent gas (the sun) that is constantly sending out powerful radio signals? That's right. If they find us, they'll find us directly, they won't find us by finding the probe first. Might I also mention that the Voyager ships are traveling so slowly through interstellar space that after 33 years one is 13 light-hours away and the other is 16 light-hours away, while the nearest star besides the sun is 4.3 light-years away. There's no possible way aliens could find the probes and not be so close to us already to have been observing us already for a long while. Which is why the golden disk on each craft wasn't aimed at making contact with whatever's out there, not now at any rate. The idea wasn't for it to make contact but for it to serve as a time capsule. A "we were here" marker meant to exist after we are no longer here, that MAYBE will be found by someone in billions of years.

carqueja responds:

MASA has nothing to do with Mexico, please, read the "Author comments", we are from Uruguay, we are not from Mexico. Mexico is not the only country which speaks spanish. We used the name MASA instead of NASA because we prefered not to use real names just in case. The short doesn't specify in which country it takes part because it's not relevant.
Maybe you are right about that nobody will find the Voyager ships, but the point of this short is not that, this is just a fantasy or science fiction short. The idea was to show how we think humans could react in that situation.
Thanks for the comment anyway!
And sorry if my english is bad.

In retrospect...

...as Stephen Hawkings said, it was probably a stupid idea to announce our presence in the universe, especially since the beings that would / could respond may just need our planet for resources. UNLESS...it was our intent to lure them here, destroy them, and then research their technology. We are such crafty, vile creatures. But that's just speculation.

pretty good not bad

you have a great future in story telling my friend just keep working and practicing ok you will go far

Brilliant

The aliens were well animated, I enjoyed the interpertation of us humans. I was a bit saddend by the MASA destruction of the ship. I can't imagine we would do that (it's only an animation so I really shouldn't care, but) being an optomists I would believe we would be a bit nicer to huge ships.
back to the clip though it's great to see animations on NG that are from other countries. I would love to see more from you guys and any other country that has good flash to offer. :D
