Reviews for "The Visitor: Massacre"

Awesome As Ever

I really enjoyed this game and I thought the way you altered it from the first game was clever, but I can't help but feel that the first game was more enjoyable :P
Still, a great game, so keep up the good work !

meh, a good puzzle but.

it needs a dash of "freedom"

slugtastic

fairly good game, not interested in going back and getting flawless or anything like that

not sure why it lagged in places.

Almost Great

5 on the Pico meter, and 8 in this review. Giving you a 5 on the Pico meter because it deserves a high score even though there's some issues. First, usual praise: Great sprite work, and controls. Music was good, but a little tedious after while. Needed a little more variety, but still good music. Gameplay was good too but...

Cons: Way too linear. After the first level it just seems to be the same variation of that level except this time there's a big animal guarding a smaller animal that you need to eat in order to move on. That's the biggest problem in this game. If you gave us more options to get to that human, or bonus humans or something that would have improved it. In every level you get to a point where you think 'well, I can't get through there. Can I eat this animal? Nope. Okay they don't want you to do that, what else can I do? Oh wait, there's another creature in the corner, can I eat it? Yeah! Okay now I can kill the other animal and... Got it! Now the human. Got 'em. That was too easy' I always felt like that in every level. It was too easy once you knew where everything was at, because of that linearity.

Another thing, nitpicking, why don't the humans freak out when they see you wiggling around in front of them? It would have been a nice touch, it could've been like in Metal Slug when the soldiers kill you and you respawn and they scream when they see respawn right in front of them. You know, like that? One other thing, it doesn't make sense that you can be 'any' size and kill a human, but you have to be large enough to eat other animals. In Zeebarf's original game, it was clear the visitor had to be large enough to go after humans without some ingenuity.

If I'm ragging on you, I'm really not. I thought it was an alright game, but it could be so much more.

meh...

it was an alright game but the mid-game loading is shite, i seriously left it for 20 minutes and it still didn't do anything with the annoying dialog even after a clicked and spaced over 9000 times (OVER NINE THOUSAND!), being able to eat a human regardless of size is rediculous and standing in front of a human without them noticing is like Chewbacca sneaking onto the Death Star with a fake mustache.
