Reviews for "The Post-it Knight"

One of the most charming things I've ever seen

At first I thought this was going to be made from regular Flash with an animated knight on an animated post-it on an animated whiteboard, but when I saw the message saying the video was in Stop-Motion and then the actually DRAWN OUT knight on a REAL post-it on an ACTUAL whiteboard, I knew what I was watching was going to be awesome. As the winged steed came into view and landed to assist the knight, I was at the point of laughing because I wasn't at all expecting that sort of uniqueness and charm. The homemade sound effects fit right in with the amateurish style of the video, and the light Zelda music playing in the background added to the appeal of it. I also just can't shake off the feeling that the whole thing was done like an after-school activity, and the video was being made to be presented to the class.
Overall, I didn't think anything fell short at any time. I completely know how hard it is to do Stop-Motion, how thousands upon thousands of pictures need to be taken and re-done, and that pictures still need to be shot even when objects are standing still, just to give them a more life-like look and the sense that nothing is ever truly still. I can't even start to imagine the number of post-its that were used. I'm not taking off for a few weird spots here and maybe what looks like a mis-taken shot there, as those add to the essence of how everything seems to have been made in a class-room.
Review in short: those post-its are going in my Favorites file forever.

Wow, awesome review.

It was done for a high school class, haha. The teacher just said make a stop motion video, split us into groups, and we were the only group that actually worked every day. I remember we ended up skipping other classes to working on this more, too actually. This went on for 2 weeks, with 70 minute periods a day.

ZELDA!!! :D

I am incredibly impressed with the stop motion animation used for this. Best I've ever seen on this size a scale. What really had me sold on this was the combination of the music (Zelda music rocks), scenery (which I can only imagine how tedious it must have been to make), and the voices (they fit just SO perfectly with it all). I would like to see more animations like this one. This really worked out well, and you timed this all excellently. I love your artwork on this. So keep this up, and bring us more animations like this. :) *gives great big thumbs up*

Neat.

I too once had an enormous amount of time to waste at school, but I never did anything clever like this with it. ;p The scenery was neat, especially the cave scene. You either had a lot of patience or a big black magic marker......

well done

those are suposed to be hard to make and that was done butifly

Love it!

Though I saw a few people had problems with the sfx I though it added to the feel of it. Cute and quirky I like it.
