Stylish

I can really imagine playing this on a hand-held devise as some sort of Final Fantasy marketing spin-off thing. It has that kind of feel.

IMO it'd be better if the items were "held" by the characters rather than took on new tiles. That way matching with the character holding the item would activate it but the game wouldn't become harder.

I'd love for there to be more character levels, if they weren't so expensive or if the game was longer, that way the 4/5 tile bonus could be stacked onto the levels you've bought rather than fixed.

If you were to make the game longer then monster characters for the enemy might make the game more varied and tactical as would having more player characters that can be unlocked and then chosen from to the 5-man line up.

The game has a loads of potential.

Needs brighter colors!

The sound was really annoying, and the characters were way too hard to tell apart. I understand the allure of using 8-bit sprites, but at least make them brightly colored. As it is, they're all different washed out shades of gray and brown, which makes it hard to pick out groups of similar characters while you're in a hurry.

Awesome game! I mean, with the sprites, you think it'll suck, but then it's awesome. o-o

But what's with the money? The amount is replaced instead of added. >_>;!

Good but needs balancing

It's a very good concept, but it has some balance issues. It's near impossible to regain momentum for either side if you have a reset or two close together, anything you get out is just instantly splattered by a swarm.

The single use items are actually more of a hindrance than a boon a majority of the time. I'm actually happy to see when my opponent has a few of them, it's usually an easy win.

The last issue is a bit personal. My color vision sucks, and units like the berzerker and warrior piled together tend to turn into a blur, so a greater difference in appearance, or even color specific tiles behind would help a lot.

Cool and different!

I was thinking at first this was going to be a turn-taking RPG but it turned out to be something much better. I enjoyed these kinds of games and it was funny to hear the little sounds and stuff you made when they disappeared. I was a bit confused about the achievements, but they just showed up in a different way. I also liked how the game gave us hints on what to do next. The biggest strength is that it is extremely original and different than anything I have ever played. You really are motivated to find the combinations as fast as possible.
