this hits home again the point that in the multiverse anything can (and will) happen. which is ultimately more interesting than re-watching ryu or ken throw fireballs at each for the 100th time. and is always more fun :D. kudos on trying something new and original ("what comic series?!")

The Exiles comic series was an X-book produced by Marvel featuring alternate-reality versions of familiar characters charged with protecting the stability of the multiverse. It was recently canceled after a ten-year run.
