Reviews for "Ghost Hacker"

Excellent!

This is a great game, for sure. You really knocked the game play out of the park. It was engaging, complicated and fun. I've come back to this game four or five times now just to complete the story which was surprisingly enticing for often I see that kind of plot. Not to mention the aspect of upgrading towers got me to start mixing and matching to find the perfect fit for each tower in each situation. Finally, I loved the music. However, it did get repetitive from time to time. That was the ONLY flaw I could find. Excellent job!

Tower defense with an interesting take.

I liked how your upgrade system worked, thats really my favorite part about this game, offers a good capability to mix and match how your particular towers work at various places in the path.

A few things to point out, both for players and the creator as im not sure if he intended these things or not.

No tower ever has upgrade nodes of ALL the same color. 2 node towers will always be different, 3 node towers can have as many as 2 of the same, etc

Command shell +splash and slow, VERY useful

The extra shots provided by Fork are also affected by linker

Splash on towers that provide a natural memory leak are useful.

Compressors seem to be best used when spaced out so they have time to gather their 5 shot burst mode, consider pairing them with extra damage nodes to maximize power.

A nice little brain game.

You really gotta think where you put the turrets in the beginning, cause if you don't set
up just right, then the virii will take all your cubes [cubes rhymes with pubes lol] out with them, not recieving enough damage to kill them. So, you gotta think hard sometimes.
I think i'll download it.

Level 25 Was Way Too Easy! Game Still Rocks!

I was able to beat the last level far too easily. I used the same unit type with the same upgrades and Axon was only able to touch the cores before I blew him to smitherns. You could of multiplied his health 10 fold, it would not have made a difference.

The problem was the super users that Axon spawns were giving me massive points so I could add on my towers quicker than he could progress. I would suggest him spawning a special type of "enemy" that did not give you points. This way you could keep his speed at what you have already set.

Kind of disappointed there was no reward for getting all the cores from every level. I made sure to do it on all three saves in case you decided to lean on the side of overkill. Not cool!

OK, enough of that.

This was by far the best tower defense I have ever played. Looks like you have left the story open so you know I will be expecting a sequel.

@henrybrice - You can use garbage collector to knock out the three blocks to the lower left of level nine. I used a scanner (green/blue) next to a sentry (red/green/blue).

Although they were among the first upgrades I quickly grew fond of the fork and linker and I recommend using them for your scanners. Using them together you basically double the damage dealt. I also used the combo with the sentry I pulled out in this level and kept a splash in the red spot which could multiple the damage dealt by 5 fold or more depending on what scripts you use.

I would have to say that the tip of upgrading towers rather than creating new ones is definitely true except in level 24 where you just cut off the two islands in the middle and place towers along the edge to kill each corrupter before it gets a core. After they have all come and gone you can recycle whatever cheap towers you began with and bust out a sentry wall or any high damage tower of your choice to take out the center islands.

I understand that I have been overly critical in my review but I figure you would be getting better feedback than simple "fav" type reviews which are not really a review at all. I definitely love the game and with the exception of Level 25 the difficulty of level increased perfectly and the various upgrades compliment each of the many towers very nicely.

Only wish there was an infinite mode *hint hint* or some kind of level builder after getting all the cores.

great game

this is a very good td i like it
