Reviews for "24 in 24"

Awesome!

Ooo, I liked the idea of this. It kept me watching cause I was so curious as to what would happen next! And I was very happy to see zombie muffins or cupcakes or w/e those were haha. Very funny =P Tarboy 2 anytime soon? =D

Trippy, confusing, but fun to watch somehow lol

The animation was great although I had no idea what was going on in most of them. The first one had me in stitches along with a few others. I recognized Hania's voice instantly. No other's voice on the internet sounds as sweet. Anyway this was pretty fun to watch. Hoping to see more! XD f-f-F-FIIIIVE!!!!

I watched you animate number 13 I think

If you could animate all that in 1 day, surely you could do tarboy 2 in a week?

Haha, It's up!

I'm glad to see this completed! Does it count as beating the challenge if you didn't upload in an hour though?

Even if you didn't get to beat it though, great job! I'm proud to have been there with you guys along the way!

JamesLee responds:

It does peeve me that we couldn't get it in on time.

There was a few rules that we had to bend to make it an overall better product to watch. In my mind, so long as each segment was done within the 24 hours, it mostly counts :P

Experimental Awesomeness.

I was expecting the Lees' next release would be a "Tarbot" sequel. And usually when a movie is categorized as "Experimental" it's asking to be blammed, but "24 in 24" is different.

The concept behind the movie actually has a name: Burrough's cut-up technique. The idea is to separate and recombine contents to create a new, bizarre and occasionally inspiring experience. There's no storyline to elaborate further, but hey, that's the whole point of the movie.

The segments I particularly enjoy are:
1. The element of surprise. How often can one witness an ice-cream truck chasing a kid?
8. It reminds me how "Fantasia" devoted an entire segment to forms and shapes changing in rhythm with sweeping orchestral music. Go Hania!
19. Zombie cupcake apocalypse! To eat or to be eaten, that is the question. Great atmosphere.

Even when James Lee forced himself to work under a strict time limit the result can still easily surpass the majority of Flash animations posted on NG.
