Reviews for "Golden Palace"

Awesome! Sounds like a theme someone would use for a lost temple or dungeon, like in games such as Zelda, or whatever other games people play >.>

DanJohansen responds:

RPG's rule! Glad you enjoyed it, I would love to create complete soundtracks for awesome games one day if the oppurtunity presents itself.

dude, this is amazing!

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks! Glad it is enjoyed man :D

I don't even know what to say. Love it, Dan.

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks brother! Appreciate the support dude!

Sounds amazing, I'm surprised games haven't contracted you yet.

DanJohansen responds:

I've been contacted by quite a few indie devs but most of the time it's for projects with very thin concepts etc. I don't want to make music for games just to make music for games, I want to make music for awesome games! lol

Huzzah! A new Dan Johansen track!
And a fine one it is too. I was expecting a triumphant, victorious theme from the title, but there is a wonderful contrast between the title and the poignancy of the music: the composition gives off a misty sense of a forgotten location that indeed has a mysterious aura about it.
The background instrumentals for the introduction of the track have a brilliant atmospheric whispering or windy sound to them and really help achieve the whole 'ancient unknown' theme that you reach here. I like how your pieces offer visual inspiration as to a certain fantastical setting or place and it is easy to imagine the setting of an adventure-based game by listening to your music.
Finally, as always, I always admire the strings in your audio and how they help to intensify the melody.
Epic stuff as ever, Dan. Keep it up!

Great feedback man, that was a great read. Glad you enjoy my stuff man and appreciate the continued support :D Yeah the title makes an assumption that isn't necessarily met, but fits anyway XD
