Not bad
I think the collision detection is off a lot. There were enemies about 10 pixels away that it thought hit me. The controls make it hard to do precision movements.

Good bossfights.
The bossfights were pretty entertaining, but everything in between was a little... meh. Not bad, by any means, but not great.

Brings me back to the days of the Saga Megadrive/Genesis, then reminds me I was impressed by such basic games.... ah nostalgia.
Not bad...but not good either
This is a "Meh" for me simply because of the way the game is made. I mean all the planes have at least 1 fatal flaw. You get speed but no armor, you get armor but no attack power, you get attack power but no armor...the list goes on and on. Also you need to have REGULAR power-ups coming on screen, not just one type of craft--the dual roater helicopters--that give them out.
Also, I'd take out the plane slection screen--due to the aforementioned fatal flaws every plane has--and put in a shop screen instead where you can upgrade your plane. Make it faster, more durable, add guns/missles/bombs, a longer invinicible time, ect.
It's a good game, reminds me of "The Golden Age" of video games, but since all the planes are flawed in one way or another; just stick with 1 kind of craft and allow the player to customize as he/she sees fit.
One more thing; I'd cut down on the ammount of bullets that can be on screen...it's kind of hard to dodge a million bullets coming in from all sides. Just wanted to add that little suggestion in there.
Sweet game
This one is a true success. Nice gameplay, mood, style and feel. Considering that this was made more as an advertisment than an actual game it's really good as a game. 5/5 and 10 stars for putting aside exscessive advertising ideas and also considering that the mini-game would be fun!
